Custom elements

Hi people,

Is there a way to let WYMeditor allow custom elements?
Namely: Stuff like <% image name="test" %>, <% poll id="37" %> and so on.

I am thinking of a way to make it not convert "<%" to "&lt;%" and "%>" to "%&gt;" or maybe even a custom popup where you can enter the name, id or the whole element.

Any ideas?
