WYMeditor one little thing: embed flash!

Hi there, I'm very happy with WYMeditor, I use it with my rails code and I've added it to a rails blog that I'll be distributing under GPL... anyway... there's just one small thing that bothers me about it, you can't embed flash. Particularly I need to be able to embed external flash file, e.g. YouTube videos, or other flash objects that aren't YouTube videos. I might also want to embed quicktime movies, or other uses of the embed tag.

For me the simplest thing would be, if you could just to strip out parts of the embed tag, and allow to copy and paste an embed tag. YouTube etc. provide them for copy/paste. Could I change that myself so that it allows those tags, some small change in the wymeditor JS maybe?

I don't want to have to upload anything to my server...

Yes, I've read that. Why make it so needlessly complicated? I just want to be able to paste in the code from youtube and have it not delete the embed tag. Is that hard to implement?

Its true! WYMeditor its a real cool editor, but with out embed objects its impossible to work with it! we need o simple and productive solution!
Everyone love copy and paste, and the youtube bandwidth its free!

Well, I made a patch that enables very basic support for embed tags.
