text selection loses highlight in Firefox

Postby dolby411 on Mon Apr 20, 2009 5:14 pm

I have wymeditor being used inside Fancybox. Everything works great in Safari on Mac, but in Firefox whenever I click a tool link, for instance "Create Link" my text selection loses focus or highlight when the pop-up window loads. So when my form is submitted, the content isn't updated. Has anyone else experienced this? Has a fix for this? Thanks.

Hello dolby411, and welcome to the WYMeditor forum!

What happens if you try the same thing outside of Fancybox, under Firefox/OS X? We need to determine if there's a conflict between Fanvybox and WYMedior or if this is a WYMeditor bug occurring otherwise as well.

Cheers!

Thanks for your response! If I open it in a new tab instead of inside Fancybox, I still lose the highlight once I click the "add link" button. I have also reverted back to using the packed wymeditor js file sent with the plugin. The only thing left would be the CSS I modified???

I can't confirm this issue under Windows nor Ubuntu Linux. Do you experience the same issue if go to the basic example page and try create a new link?

Cheers! ;)

I don't see the same problem using the basic example. I found the solution though. I use themes by Wufoo for my forms and after going through the style sheets I isolated and commented out all the li.focused styles in form.css. This seems to fix the losing focus problem. Thanks to all who posted on this thread!
