html elements acting strange

If I place text inside the box and do a linefeed, the current text is placed inside a paragraph, and a new is opened. When I type a letter, the text pops out of the paragraph. If I try to put the marker inside the new paragraph again, it places the text inside another paragraph inside the other paragraph. Same happens with links and other elements. Has anyone seen this before?
