Anyone using this with jQuery 1.4? I'm looking over the "Backwards-Incompatible Changes" list from http://jquery14.com/day-01/jquery-14 and comparing against the WYMeditor code base. I see a couple jQuery.data() calls in WYMeditor core but only to store data, which appears to not be retrieved anywhere else (leftover code?). Otherwise, I see no other obvious issues. Looks like jQuery 1.4 has some major performance improvements.
BTW, WYMeditor works fine on jQuery 1.3.2 with jQuery UI 1.7.2 (in case anyone was wondering).
(I recommend NOT watching any of the videos found on the site. They will make your brain hurt from having to listen to a bunch of nerds talk.)

I've just updated to jQuery 1.4 in my CMS and didn't encounter any problems with the new version and WYMeditor so far.

You shouldn't have any issues with 1.4, as to this date they've never removed anything from jQuery. Older stuff may not be documented, but it's all there, just deprecated.
