not setting initial html breaks it?

Hi,

I have read the documentation and api. Some of the source has me lost. I will need to reread a few times,
but it appears that when configuring the editor, if I do not set a default value for the html property,
then the editor appears without paragraphs tags. So I just get an editor that when you click enter it creates
a <br> tag instead of a <p> tag.

Am I missing something. Why should I always have to set the initial html property?
