Hello,
If you display the source code of your test page, you will see that it actually works : the classes "date", "important",etc... are attached to your paragraphs.
All you have to do is to define those classes in your theme's "style.css" file.

Since it is more a Drupal module's concern, I suggest that you open a support request here : http://drupal.org/project/issues/wymeditor
