0.3 beta 1 Integration with IE

Postby roundash on Wed May 30, 2007 4:27 pm

Hi

Firstly can I say I have been watching WYMeditor for a while and like what I see. I have been searching for a cross browser editor for my content management system for some time and nothing has so far impressed me.

However, I like the concept of WYMeditor and the demos seem to work more or less the same in IE, Firefox and Opera. Safari support would be nice but I know that is coming :D

I have downloaded the latest version and installed it on my web server - very straightforward! The only problem is that although it works fine in Firefox and Opera I keep getting an error (line 164 character 4 Invalid argument) in IE.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Hi roundash, do you have a test page where we can reproduce the problem?

Thanks,

Have a look at the following URL:

http://www.form2list.com/help/edit.php?id=1

This is the edit page for an item in a cms. The fields and their values are read in from a MySQL database. Works fine in Firefox but not IE.

I wonder if it is a reserved word conflict or clashing class name?

Thanks again

I see. You use jQuery 1.1.2.
You'll need at least jQuery 1.1.3a.

Please download latest nightly build, available here, update WYMeditor files, and use at least jQuery 1.1.3a, or latest jQuery revision (built from SVN, rev 2013).

Thankyou very much.

Sorry, should have read the instructions more carefully :D I went straight off and downloaded jquery from jquery.com

It now works fine and I'll put it to the test for a while. Looks good so far though.
