[bug] selecting all

Postby bluevibe on Thu Dec 14, 2006 9:40 am

When selecting all content of the editor (command + a / ctrl + a), all formatting like h1, table etc., is removed in favour of p-elements.

This happens in FF on both mac and pc.

hi again! I see that this bug is supposed to be fixed, but is the demo updated? If so, this bug still happens for me.

Yes, it has been fixed, and the demo is up-to-date.
Does it happen on both systems?
What's your browser version?
Could you download the latest release (0.2.1) and check it?

Thanks for your help,

Tried downloading it (2.0.1) and the same thing happened.
The online demo only says ver. 2.0 though?
It happens on my mac (os x 10.4.8) with both ff 2.0 and 2.0.0.1,
and a friends pc (win xp and ff 2.0). doesn't it happen for you?

I tried pasting the same html into your 0.3 version, and it seemed to be solved in that one.

EDIT: Btw.. your 0.3 version works with Opera.. very nice :)

OK, I see - it doesn't happen with Linux, which is my favourite OS.
Did I forget to test it with Windows? Unbelievable!
Sorry for that, I'll soon fix this bug (which comes from iframe_keyup_handler).

About 0.3: yes, IE/FF/OP will be supported. I'd like to support Safari, too, but I don't have a Mac!

Still an issue

Postby bluevibe on Wed Jun 06, 2007 10:40 am

With the release of 0.3, the "select all bug" is still an issue.

The bug is triggered when using the key combo for select all (apple(command)/ctrl + a), not when using the context menu.

Sometimes it happens on the first "select all", other times it happens after a few tries. At the same time the editor scrolls to the bottom.

This is happens in both FF on OS X (10.4) and FF on Win XP SP2.

I can't reproduce the bug. Tested on FF+Linux and FF+Windows.
I don't own a Mac, so I can't test it on that platform.
Please feel free to create a ticket and/or submit a patch on the Trac.
Thanks in advance,
