create a new dialog at a new button

I was wondering if there was some kind of example of how to make a new button like the Link, which opens in a new Dialog..

I have tried some editing myself, but it did not work. I do know how to edit a existing dialog, but I want to create a new one. Someone that could help me provide some kind of example of this?
