0.6 redesign question

Hi, I read on the forum that the internals are being overhauled for 0.6. Was wondering if there is an eta on 0.6 alpha? How involved is this redesign? Enough that it would be wise not to look closely at internals until it is done?

Hi Iain!

1. No there is no ETA on the 0.6 release, the roadmap at the Trac site says it'll be released in two weeks - but that just won't happen (0.5 isn't even out yet).
2. In 0.6 well see all of the design changes (refactoring) we didn't see in 0.5. In other words - it's a major overhaul of the internals, and there's lots of new features coming up too.
3. I wouldn't go of and develop a big application/plug in that's depending on the current experimental design found in Scotts branch, as it'll most likely change over time. But feel free to play around with it, and come with feedback if you do!

Thank Jon, I appreciate the developer attitude from what I've seen so far. Makes me much more inclined to switch to WYM. =)
