I'd love it if you could implement the "merge" functionality, on 2/more cells mainly on the same row, eventually on the same column (I am aware it's more difficult on the column side).

Please tell me if this made your featurelist for a release that will get to stable any time soon, else I'll do it myself, but it'd take a little longer for me to get accustomed with the code base and I don't really have the time to do it right now.

This feature isn't planned yet.
I don't know if it will be implemented in the core editor, BTW.
I would recommend adding it yourself in 0.2.2, or waiting for 0.3 stable (due for March), which will allow plugins integration (so you can write one for this feature).

thanks a bunch. I'll start my project and if i get to the part I need merging before the release, I'll add it myselfthen transform it into a plugin
